Great program, only issue I have is that when you set chrome as the default browser in windows 10 with this utility it also sets chrome as the default for .pdf files , is there an option to supress that ??
Windows 10 ATM ,Win 10 IE ~~
In the SetUserFTA post, you stated that if one wants to change the Mailto protocol on windows 10 1607 build to use this SetDefaultbrowser.exe. Is there a way to just set the mailto protocol to a non browser. example default mailto is set to Mail (Windows Mail), but if using outlook 2016. you had mentioned about creating a single exe that would just change MailTo. is that ready for prime time?
what i forgot to mention is that its a citrix terminal server with server with windows 2012 R2 , the hash is always the same when i use windows or ur programm, its always 2 different keys which stay the same each. can i use the protable guide for prgrams that i want to make available for all users?
it runs also as SYSTEM, but it will write everything in the profile of SYSTEM and that is not what you want. you cannot set associations with a service account or SYSTEM. my tools must be run in the current user context. this is because it uses the SID of the user that is logged on. that is by design from Microsoft. you can not use it to apply associations to a machine. if you want that, you can use the official solution from Microsoft using this method: -us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/export-or-import-default-application-associations
i have a really shitty intel i5 processor with 2gb of ram on a hdd 500gb drive and windows 10 has never run fast on it since i had the bloody thing but since upgrading to 1903 its had a new lease of life runs well for what it is now go and figure that one :D
If you click on a link that does not work, the reason may be that you are blocking pop-up windows that you have requested to access. To open the link, you can either disable your pop-up blocker or hold the CTRL key while clicking on the link. For Windows 10 users using Internet Explorer, you may see an information bar appear below the address bar on your browser notifying you that a pop-up window has been blocked. Click on this information bar and choose Temporarily Allow Pop-Ups then click the link again to open the pop-up window.
Pop-up windows are small web browser windows with information or can be ads that appear over or under the web page you are currently viewing. They are frequently used for advertising and open automatically whether or not you want to see them. Wells Fargo does not use them for advertising. But they may also open at your request and show help text or another page of a site that is informative.
Occasionally, a new browser window may open when you click on a link on our site. These user-initiated pop-up windows only open after you request them by clicking on a link. If you click on a link that does not work, the reason may be that you are blocking pop-up windows that you have requested to access.
Thanks for sharing such kind of good information but I met a trouble. Does it also can workable for windows 8.1 system 32-bit? Because no matter what I did, the windows 8.1 always got the problem when I want to intall the new driver.
also will this affect all preciously removable devices connected to my computer I.e will all flash drives plugged into my pc show up as local not removable if i delete all 5 windows drivers and replace with the new one?
See the end of this article here: =1655684Note: When I rebooted the first time, windows would not load, this was due to the driver being unsigned. When booting hit F8 to enter the bootloader, and choose to disable driver signing. Alternatively you can disable driver signing by doing the following:
As others hwve said this guide doesnt work. At least not anymore. In my case with windows 10 it says that it cant find a file. It does not specify what kind of file, but I noticed that the cfadisk.sys file fas an ascii path in it: D\programs\cfadisk\objfree\i386\cfadisk.pdb in one version and c:\winddk\fdrv\objfree_wiin7_amd64\amd64\cfadisk.pdb in another version. Is that the file Windows cant find? Who knows. Maybe this still works in windows 7 but not in windows 10.
I have a windows 10 laptop (it's pretty old, but I don't think that should be a problem). I followed the instructions and went through control panel and enabled Telnet Client using an admin password. However, when I launched cmd and typed telnet, I received the error message "telnet could not be recognized as an internal or external command..." I also tried this with an admin-powered cmd and got the same error.
Edit 3: it seems that cmd is not even recognizing the existence of telnet.exe. I followed Binarus' help and typed in dir c:\windows\system32\telnet.exe and am getting file not found. Anyone know what I can do?
I had this problem running telnet from a MSVC 2019 C++ program using System("start telnet"). When I did System("start cmd") and a dir on c:\windows\system32 telnet.exe was not displayed. In fact large number of files and directories were missing. I solved this by copying telnet.exe to a different directory. This worked for me because I am only using it to run a canned batch file. The telnet prompts are not displayed running in manual mode.
Windows 10 is available in both 32 and 64-bit architectures. What this basically means is the amount of memory your computer is capable of addressing. Some computers might be 64-bit capable but are limited by the amount of memory that can be installed. For example, windows 10 Home 64-bit supports up to 128 GB of RAM, while Windows 10 Pro, Pro Edu, Education, and Enterprise 64-bit support up to 2 TBs of RAM, Pro for Workstation can use up to 6 TBs.
As previously noted, Windows 10 represents the last major revision. Prior versions of Windows came to market every two or three years, and Microsoft changed that with Windows 10. As a result, windows will no longer have identifiable version numbers such as Windows 11 or Windows 12. And with the introduction of the Windows Insider Program for PC and the Insider program for Windows 10 Mobile, Microsoft promises to continue rapidly developing Windows 10. What this means for you, to better identify a release of Windows 10, the build number will be the best place to look.
Solved Problem 10.2: Assumethat the outside air temperature is 8C. If the air in a room is at25C with a relative humidity φ = 40%, use the psychrometric chartto determine if the windows of that room which are in contact withthe outside will become foggy.
Theair in contact with the windows will become colder until the dewpoint is reached. Notice that under the conditions of 25C and 40%relative humidity the dew point temperature is slightly higher than10C, At that point the water vapor condenses as the temperatureapproaches 8C along the saturation line, and the windows willbecome foggy. 2ff7e9595c
